HEAD VABARIIGI AASTAPÄEVA, EESTI!!!

Olin täna natuke patriootiline - kandsin Eesti lipu värve ja kaelas kaelakeed sõnaga "ESTONIA". Kui Eestis on see päev nii koolist kui ka põhimõtteliselt töölt vaba, siis tegin ma sama siin. Ei käinud täna mitte üheski loengus vaid Erikaga Vic'i avastamas. Ka tema "tähistas" Eesti Vabariigi Aastapäeva. See oli üks ettekäänetest mitte kooli minna :D

I was a bit patriotic today, because it is ESTONIANINDEPENDENCEDAY!!!

I was wearing Estonian flag colours which are blue-black-white, and a necklace what was saying "ESTONIA".
In that day, in Estonia, people usually don't work and all the schools are closed. So, I was thinking I will do the same - no school today! Instead of school, Erika and I went to a little walk around the Vic. Erika was also "celebrating" Estonian Independence Day - a good excuse for not going to school! :D

Nii me siis jalutasime Vic'is, tegime palju pilte, jutustasime ja nautisime seda suurepärast ilma, mis siin täna oli! Tahtsin jäädvustada oma lipuvärvides outfiti ja Erika oli suurepärane fotograaf. Thanks hon!! :).

Praegu teen natukene Eestipärast õhtusööki endale, nämm-nämm! :D Ja selline see minu Vabariigi Aastapäeva tähistamine oligi. Kuna olen ainus eestlane siin, siis ei hakka üksi mingit pidu pidama! :D

Jaanuaris leidisn juhuslikult kuskilt kellegi blogist huvitavaid fakte Eesti ja eestlaste kohta. Ja siis ma mõtlesin, et jagan neid ja ei hakka ise midagi välja mõtlema, sest need on päris head. Rohkem on need mõeldud mu välislugejatele ja Erasmuslastele. Ja ma olen kindel, et nii mõnigi eestlane leiab, et need faktid on ikka nii täppi kui täppi olla saab! :D

Last month I found those interesting facts about Estonia and Estonians. And then I was thinking that it would be interesting to share it with you guys! I am pretty sure that there are a lot Estonians who think that those facts are quite true. 

For me, those facts are sooooo true! :D 

HERE THEY ARE: 

1. Blue, black and white are your favourite colours

2. You always correct everyone who says that Estonian population is 1 million. It’s actually 1.3 million.

3. You are proud that Skype was invented in Estonia

4. You consider Kalev chocolate and Vana Tallinn liquor the best souvenirs ever

5. Going to saunas or spas is part of your regular routine

6. When someone asks you about Estonia’s location, you respond ‘Below Finland’.

7. You roll your eyes if someone asks ‘Is Estonia part of Russia’? For God sake, we are in the EU!

8. You love your Baltic neighbours, but get offended if someone thinks you are Latvian or Lithuanian.

9. You eat sour cream with 99% of your meals

10. 99% of your meals contain potatoes

11. Your favourite spices are kartulimaitseaine (potato spice) and sidrunipipar (lemon pepper)

12. You don’t find it difficult to pronounce ‘Veoautojuht’ or ‘Jõuluööeelootusaeg’

13.  You are used to not being able to buy booze after 10pm

14. You don't worry about the snow until it reaches higher than 3 metres

15. You believe that +17C water is definitely warm enough tempreture to swim in

16. You’ve been to Shooters too many times to remember

17. Driving 100 km/h feels like the speed of light

18. If you don’t have plans to have a BBQ on the 23rd of June, you get depressed.

19. You might be over-18, but you still get shivers when a policeman passes by.
